Стационарное герметич. замкнутое сооружение для приема, хранения и выдачи газа в распределит, газопроводы или установки по его переработке и применению. По конструктивным особенностям различают г. низк. давл. для газов с избыт, давл. < 0,005 МПа и г. выс. давл. с избыт, давл. > 0,5 МПа. Г. низк. давл. делятся на мокрые и сухие. М. г. имеет колокол, погруж. открытым концом в бассейн с водой и меняющий положение в завис-ти от режима накопления и расход, газа. М. г. нуждаются в закрытых помещениях или средствах обогрева в зимних условиях. С. г. состоят из многогранного резервуара, внутри к-рого — подвижной диск-шайба, герметич. примыкающий к внутр. поверхности резервуара и меняющий положение аналогично колоколу м. г. Работа с. г. не зависит от климатич. условий. Г. выс. давл. (с пост. объемом) цилиндрич. или сферич. формы, требует больших затрат на сжатие накапливаемого газа. Емк. г. низк. давл. от 100 до 150 тыс. м3, г. выс. давл. - 20 тыс. м3.
